Who we are:

we are a group of people who enjoy leaving the pavement and enjoying Arizona's back country roads.
We support all activities that relate to the outdoors. Our main focus is 4x4 related, however we encourage all forms of outdoor activity.

What we do:

We locate places in Arizona that the paved roads stop and the fun starts. We explore Arizona's back country roads, sight see, explore the various ghost towns, Indian ruins, and try to have an enjoyable day.

When do we do it:

Whenever there's enough interest from members to get together and see the more scenic side of Arizona.

What you need to have:

• A 4 wheel drive. Any year, make, or model.
• A licensed driver 
• A computer helps, As all our trips are planned online
• The name says Arizona. So being a resident helps, but exceptions may be made for visitors and others who enjoy the Grand Canyon State.
• Regular maintenance on your rig will help keep you going on the trail. It's always easier to change parts in the garage than on the trail.

What you don't need:

• Attitude - If your against running a trail with vehicles not in your same class, keep looking for a club to join..
• Alcohol. A cold one at the end of the trail is fine, but not while we're driving.
• A super built rig, most all trails we run will either have by-passes or someone to pull you to the top ;)
• Superior driving skills. If it's your first drive off-road, we'll help you.

How to Join:

We do not require a membership fee; our club does cost monthly web hosting fees which we try to pay via your donations.
In return we do not spam you, or have any pop up ads. We provide high quality video footage and hand out free decals.
Our members are not required to attend club meetings or trails, however we are a 4x4 club and we need you to be a part of it.

What do I get for being a member?:

You can add your vehicle information and upload photos of it.
You post upcoming trails you'd like to drive/hike and then you can see list of who plans to attend.
The can share technical articles with others, post unlimited items for sale, link to your website.
Our message system is setup in yahoo's forums, you can participate from your email software.
All articles, for sale items and trip info is posted to the forum so your kept up to date at all times
You can have your own pop3 email address, Yourname@azbackcountry.com
Our 4x4 trails are listed with GPS cords and driving directions. We have over 100 4x4 trails recorded.
We have yearly club 4x4 trips; and at least one trail run is posted a month. (usually more)
We are an open format; we want each member to feel free to post trips and talk openly on the forum.
You are welcomed into the Arizona Backcountry family, we have 1000+ members.
